SpigitEngage for SharePoint® is built on Microsoft SharePoint 2010, and will serve as an idea management solution for SharePoint 2010 customers. Spigit also announces Capgemini as the first systems integrator to implement joint solution
Pleasanton, CA- March 1, 2011 — Spigit, the leader in purpose-built innovation management software, today announced that it is launching an idea management solution designed and built on Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Spigit customers will now have the ability to easily capture, evaluate, select, and implement their crowdsourced ideas right from the familiar SharePoint 2010 user interface.
“We are looking forward to seeing Spigit bring their crowdsourcing and social collaboration expertise knowledge to the SharePoint 2010 platform,” stated Joe Boggio, Solution Director of Innovation Process Management at Microsoft. “Microsoft SharePoint 2010 provides a strong foundation of collaboration, content management, business intelligence and enterprise search that, through our partners, enable the innovation process.”
From Crowdsourcing through ImplementationSpigitEngage enables customers to capture and select ideas sourced from their idea communities using collaboration tools in SharePoint 2010, and then plan, budget, and assign resources to implement those ideas with Microsoft Project Server 2010.
In addition to providing advanced idea management capabilities, SpigitEngage for SharePoint 2010 incorporates a simple, intuitive interface that allows users to create their own customizable innovation dashboard. With the ability to easily move Spigit web parts throughout SharePoint 2010, SpigitEngage can be set up for enterprise-wide access within SharePoint 2010, or as a single instance embedded in specific team sites. The tool’s flexibility allows for easy configuration and can be deployed on-premise or as a service through the company’s SaaS (Software as a Service) offering.
As a means of encouraging user engagement and participation, the solution offers incentives and rewards, to increase user participation levels and achieve a higher quality of ideas and feedback. Furthermore, SpigitEngage incorporates an intelligent ranking system that drives the best ideas to the top using a combination of patent-pending algorithms. These features, along with the rest of Spigit’s idea management capabilities, allow companies to engage in an innovation process that is scalable and results-oriented, and built on SharePoint 2010.
