Spigit raises $10 million

Business software maker Spigit Inc. raised $10 million from private equity firm Warburg Pincus . This is the second investment by Warburg Pincus, which invested $10 million in the Pleasanton company in the past. Spigit has raised $26 million total. Paul Pluschkell, who started Spigit, is its CEO. Patrick Severson of Warburg Pincus sits on Spigit’s board of directors. The other members are CEO Pluschkell and John Hart and Maxim Webb, both of PICO, the Physicians Insurance Company of Ohio. Spigit also has an office in Reston, Va., near Washington, D.C.
