Herbalife Nutrition Implements Crowdsourcing Technology to Expand Its Culture of Innovation


Montevideo, November 19, 2018 – Herbalife Nutrition
, a premier global nutrition company whose purpose is to make the world healthier and happier, implements crowdsourcing technology to help expand its culture of innovation and develop it as a sustainable competitive advantage. One year since its launch, the initiative to grow innovation is reinforcing employee and independent distributor’s commitment to the company, business growth and ongoing development.

In 2017, Herbalife Nutrition collaborated with Spigit, a leading provider of innovation management software, to develop a platform called GreenHouse, where employees and independent distributors are encouraged to submit and vote on ideas to help the Company improve and innovate products and processes. Ideas are submitted and voted on by the registered users, and winning ideas graduate to three stages: assessment, testing, and implementation.

More than 6,000 of the Company’s 8,300 employees worldwide have signed up to use the platform, submitting over 2,600 ideas, and generating more than 21,000 comments on those ideas. To date, six ideas have been implemented, 15 are in the testing process, and 28 are in the assessment stage.
