The original Foundry platform limited collaboration; Unilever needed scalable software, robust enough to support a broader range of co-collaborators, and intelligent enough to graduate the best ideas.
Unilever launched Unilever Foundry Ideas in 2015, an open and collaborative platform powered by Spigit that reached new innovators globally, and surfaced the best ideas to implement.
Unilever experienced record engagement: over 500 unique ideas, five challenges, and tens of thousands of views, comments, and votes. Challenges included improving global nutrition, reimagining the shower of the future, and reinventing laundry to be less water intensive.
“Being able to bring our employees, customers and the general public into the innovation process allows us to harness the very best ideas and make sustainable living a reality. Spigit gives us a platform to scale innovation and allows us to leverage that collective knowledge that leads to great ideas being surfaced and implemented for a #BrightFuture.”Jeremy Basset
